Extreme SMF Posts: 156 Location: Toronto, Canada | Sorry about the two other blank entries from me....I started typing my finger slipped and whatever key I hit sent the message...twice nonetheless! Anyway, I will be visiting London England somewhere around the dates of June 6-13. I know a few people here at home that have either been there before or used to live there that are going to give some pointers on where to stay that is not going to be too expensive and where to go....but anybody got any suggestions. Coincidentally my time there coincides with the Download Festival at Donnington Park and I would love to see Iron Maiden (they are my biggest favourite next to TS) on June 10. The biggest problem I have with this is that according to the festival site there likely won't be any single day tickets and buying a ticket for the weekend for the one act is just not economical. It would be a terrible thing to be in their hometown with them playing and miss the show! Anybody have any suggestions on how to possibly get a pass for the day? Also, I will check on the internet but I'm trying to figure out how far the venue is from London and is it easy to get there by train or public transit..coming and going in the same day? Thanks! Extreme SMF Posts: 156 Location: Toronto, Canada | Day passes for Download are now on sale. Only problem is now, it looks as though you cannot do a same day return trip to London. You are stuck there until at least 5am which still puts this out of the picture for me. Unless anybody has any suggestions I don't know of yet. S.M.F. Forever, Corey

Donington (Monsters of Rock or Download versions) is one hell of a festival - Maiden have made it their own everytime they play there. It would be the same as me coming over to NYC to see TS or KISS play MSG or Radio City - home town gigs. Let us know of your progress. Email the organisers - they might help you ........ use the "international fan" coming over to see his fave band (ploy). Nothing ventured nothing gained ... Trains usually take about 2 hours ish! Extreme SMF Posts: 156 Location: Toronto, Canada | Doesn't look like there are any late night trains after the show. I think I may rent a car. Someone I work with who is from England told me rentals are really expensive there, but having checked some rates, and they don't look too bad, so I think that is my best answer.
