Location: Central Virginia | Cancer fucking sucks! It's a fuckin life sucking demon that keeps taking away everyone I care about and I'm fukin tired of it!
Why is it we can invent all kinds of mechanical wonders, we can put a man on the moon, we can create diseases that can kill millions but we can't come up with a cure for something that hurts so many people????

I wonder the same C-ROD... you see how the people who is suffering that illness, lost the life without nobody can do nothing!!!???? A lot of people are investigating about it and maybe someday can invent some really effective...or for the AIDS too. If they have a lot of money to do other things less important, they must be able to dedicate more efforts and money to find a effective medicine. But for now, we can do nothing... Well, YES... against AIDS, at least, we can protect us, we must protect us! Yolanda

First, I am sorry to hear someone you care about have been taken away. I know that pain very well. I have never been able to answer that to this day since my Mom died at the age of 62 from lung cancer. I do know that she smoked a couple of packs of cigs a day since she was in her 20's which ultimately took her away from us. I don't believe anyone can answer that, even those with huge faith. The charities that raise money for research are a wonderful start. We won't see a cure most likely, but maybe the generations to come will be spared the suffering.
One day you wake up and your life is changed forever. I could write a book on this, but I am sure it wouldn't sell. {I am sure alot could} So many other people worse off, so ya kinda look at it that way. We do the best we can each day and try to keep the faith and hope. Without that, what would be the sense in living. Donate your time to the causes, it keeps me going.
Thank God for this day and for the time you had with that special someone. The memories are a lifesaver, they sure are.

Location: Central Virginia | thanks, I know the all the organizations and all raise money for research it just seems to me they've been doing that since I was born, why is there no progress, why is there not a cure yet???
As for the time I got to spend with him, thats the kicker, this is the man who was like a dad to me when I was a teen, without him I'd probably be dead or in jail. but things happen and I moved and he and his wife split and they moved and we lost track of each other for 20 years! I have searched over the years and found nothing. A few weeks back something happened that made me search again and boom, like it was always there and nowhere else, there it was. I found him! And now hes sick and I don't even know if I'll get to see him again.......it's like someones idea of a fuckin joke.

Location: MARS | I agree, though I've never had anyone taken away from me by cancer, I think it's sad that we (along with other countries) have neclear weapons to wipe out the other side, but not a cure for cancer. |
