it was cool! Suzette sure does wear the pants in that family but we all knew that didn't we? she looks awesome! she must work out 24/7. Dee is such an obnoxious scary dude but so freakin wholesome! I mean really! what he said at the end about.."if you want to judge me take a look at my kids". true. My daughter has turned into a responsible young adult so I guess I've done something right. and Jesse's song to his daughter made me cry. good show.

(From the thread over on the Slamboard)

The biggest problem is that any reality show is going to be edited in such a way in order to have things that might be controversial or edgy enough to draw viewers pushed to the forefront. I imagine that each episode probably has hours of footage and they cut it down to the 20+ minutes we see in each 30 minute time slot.

Personally, I liked it, and that is saying something as I hate reality tv and don't watch it. Ever. The only reason I checked this one out was because it is Dee and his family and I am going to support them. It was cool to see Dee in his home and a more relaxed, natural enviroment. His interactions with his family were cool and helps to remind me that Dee is a married guy with kids just like me, and not just a metal god.

The song Jesse wrote for his daughter was cool, but that line "the sins of the father won't be the sins of the son" had to really hit Dee pretty hard. Sure he put on a brave face for the cameras, but I image hearing that had to cut him fairly deep. Jesse obviously holds some resentment for Dee being on the road. I sure hope he doesn't have to face the tough decisions that Dee did in order to provide for his family. Or maybe he should so he can appreciate and understand what Dee sacrificed for him.

honestly I thought that line was a little harsh too. Lots of men have to travel to take care of their families.
that's not a sin. It's just a sad reality sometimes. It seemed especially harsh at the ceremony too. but we don't know the whole story. maybe Dee has felt guilt about it. maybe it's something they've discussed at length. maybe they've been in family therapy over it. maybe Dee felt that Jesse needed that closure. who knows? I thought Dee was going to start bawling over Suzette taking the tatt off. that really seemed genuine. I mean I know he's an actor but it didn't seem staged. I just can't get over how great she looks! She's about my age and she looks like she's in her 20s.

SUZETTE!
WTF are you thinking?
a baby at 50?
Stop bugging them about getting Logan's ears pierced and maybe they will let you keep her EVERY WEEKEND.
I keep my grandson every weekend and I know I couldn't manage it full time. I'm 49 but I'm definitely not in the good shape that you are. It would still be allot of work. you have a good heart. enjoy your lizard and your spider. Pam

^^ Yeah, Suzette really caught Dee flat footed with the baby thing, but I give the guy credit, he loves his wife so much it seems he can't deny her anything so he went to the doc to see what they could do about bringing another kid into the fold. Luckily Suzette came to her senses and dropped the idea.

I had to side w/ Jesse that getting the granddaughter's ears pierced is a decision to be made by the parents and shouldn't be done without their okay. I guess she's just getting that empty nest feeling and wonders what she will do when the kids are all gone. I figure she'd travel with Dee while he is touring, if he's still touring when Cheyenne leaves home, unless she doesn't want to be on the road.

Last night's episode was great. Hated seeing Jesse and Suzette butting heads. I agreed w/ Dee though that Jesse was transferring his own hang ups onto his mom and not being fair to her. Suzette is a bit wild, but I mean she is Dee's wife so what do you expect! I didn't see anything wrong with a little wine and some gambling. I'm not surprised that Cody and Shane were claiming to be embarassed by their trip to the casino floor, but that's kids overreacting. They don't like to think of their parents as young at heart and having a good time. Those boys will have to get over that with parents like theirs.

Great to see Lita onstage again, and Cheyenne rocked it for someone who didn't rehearse at all. It is so cool to see Dee as a dad, just like me, trying to get his daughter interested in his life and chosen profession. Don't know that she will follow Jesse in following in Dee's footsteps, but with some practice and the right voice coach she could be really good.

I just watched it.

Shane-" we love Jesse but he's got way more hang ups than we do."

I don't think anyone who has followed Dee Snider or Twisted Sister would ever think of Suzette as Dee's bimbo.

Jesse was right.

if DEE had given him any breaks, his career would be allot farther along than it is now.
what he's done- he's apparently done on his own.
having DEE as a father would put a head trip on you.
sort of a blessing and a curse at the same time.
not intentional...just no way around it.

and I never pictured Suzette being wild.
maybe she's spent her life raising kids and she feels like it's time she can break loose a little.
I've been a DEE fan since 1983 and this is the first time I've ever seen him appear anywhere near HUMBLE.
Is it because he's with his family? is it because he's gotten older? or is it an act?
