Will a BMI calculator determine what is muscle and what is fat? |

I am a naturally thin person .. I am 5ft5 and usually roughly 100 lbs., and I am also extremely athletic. When I check my BMI it says that I have a higher share of body fat when I am more toned up, although I am certain this is not correct. Is there a bmi calculate available that can distinguish the difference between muscle and fat?

That said: Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to adult men and women. It is a formula and does not distinguish between muscle mass and fat mass. The bigger question.... why on earth did you come to the Twisted Sister site to ask this question? you might want to try this instead: www.doctoroz.com
