There are roumors that Twisted Sister are coming to Holland again next year.
I hope its true cause i want to see you guys rockin the house down again.
The last time i saw TS was in 2008 on ARROW classic rock fest, that was a short show for a little hour but great.
Next time the whole show please.

Yes pleeeeeease ! Since TS won't play anywhere in Germany but Wacken or Balingen a show in Holland would be just perfect. Tilburg / 013 would be a dream come true - one of the best venues I know - if not THE best.

Come on guys - make it happen !!!!!!!

Confirmed on the Forces of Metal website (but it's June 9th not July):

How can I be so upset by a confirmed Twisted show - maybe because I have just paid out £250 for Download ticket and (non-refundable) hotel - and it's the same weekend!!!!. I would have gladly paid this money out and driven the distance to have seen Twisted in Holland (as I did for Nijmegan 2008 & Bospop 2010).
Still, the important news is they are booking for next year - guess I hope they get the sub-headline slot just before Black Sabbath at Download on Sunday 10th June, (60 minutes on main stage would be fitting for Twisted - especially after rave reviews last year at Donington) - or any other dates in UK.

Last year was my first year at Download (only went for the one day because Twisted were playing) thought it looked OK - not massive fan of Metallica or Black Sabbath - but never seen Ozzy and thought Metallica would be good live so I took the plunge - nothing better then a weekend of metal(wish I had waited now- the only thing better is seeing Twisted live). We need to get rumours out on the board earlier - even if it usually leads to heart-break because the dates don't come through for what ever reason.

Was tempted to look at NY dates this Christmas but job security is questionable at present (good old NHS) so didn't think it too wise to get deep in debt right now (even for Twisted) - I have ordered the Twisted box set so I will sit at home and recall my Vegas Christmas memories - as well as great memories of Twisted in NY earlier this year.
To anybody who makes either/both NY shows and/or Holland - enjoy - I will be thinking of you - and know you are in for a great time.

One final thought, as next year sees the 30th anniversary of UTB can we expect a few more'Old school' tunes in the set list - same the following year for YCSRnR - that would just be amazing (not that any TS isn't amazing). This works on many levels - it promotes the 'new' products available and keeps the set fresh for the band and repeat attenders (I'm sure your notebook is ready for a few new surprises Terry).

P.S. Great find Marty

THANKS MARTY!! I didn't know where to begin looking!

Dave, enjoy the boxed set--there are a couple of good shots of you up front, including that one moment when Dee sang right to you!

OHHH so it's JUNE then....okay...so sometimes little birdies didn't check the dates on their iPhones...but close enough! HOLLAND it is! Would be ideal to see them in the UK too....would LOVE to cross that one off the ol' bucket list! Dave, maybe as you get closer to the date (and if we hear it officially via this website) you can find a buyer for your download "package".

I'm watching the airfare tickers weekly....
I usually won't book an international flight for a TS show til I get a bit closer....just in case..... plus if they add any other countries to the tour, it's easier to book a flight hopping place to place than it is to change an intl flight purchased. learned this one the hard way!

see you in Holland!

Eersel!? WFT? In the middle of nowhere. Amsterdam would have been preferable. But then again, flying to Rotterdam, seeing TS on the 9th then going back to Rotterdam to see Black Sabbath on the 12th? Hmm... have to think about that! I hope a full itinerary comes up soon... would be annoying to book a flight and then have them come somewhere close by.

I know, I know. I'll have to look at train schedules because I just simply do not rent cars in foreign lands.... ugh! Amsterdam would have been SO much easier.

Chaos in a rental car is half the fun of the trip!! . Once you've driven in Athens anything else is childsplay

^^LOL yeah... lots of fun is lost without renting a car. I just drove a car for 10 days in South Africa and there the people are riding on the wrong side of the street. I would have missed out big time though, if I wouldn't have rented that car.

Geez! Booked a flight. Flying to Brussels, from there either via train or car (remains tbd) to the middle of nowhere to see TS, from there on to Rotterdam to see Black Sabbath and then back to Brussels and home. Saw that RyanAir is adding Brussels (or rather an airport near Brussels) as a destination from my local airport starting in March.

Hey Patrick...

I finally got over my fear of travel....and beat my huge fear of flying internationally. I get lost reading road signs here in the States--there is no way in hell I can drive a car overseas. nope. uh uh. heard way too many stories. I'll take a train from Amsterdam if I have to, thank you Sir...

If I recall Mr. Marty... your rental car caused you a few tiffs in Athens, no?

Look forward to seeing you again Patrick!

^^Aww, there is nothing to fear, but fear itself!
You feared travellling and got over it and see what has happened. You feared flying internationally (huh? you were afraid of flying in general or just leaving your country??) and got over it and see what has happened. Driving wouldn't be much different. If the road signs are the only problem, then get a GPS and everything will be fine. I've driven a car both in the states and elsewhere in the world... there is no difference! I wasn't comfortable with driving on the wrong side of the street though, all those years I said I would never do that. 3 weeks ago I did and it was a piece of cake. Would do it again in a heart beat. As for Martys mishap with the car in Greece.... in all my rentals I never had a problem with the car.

Anyway, I'm still thinking about whether I should do it by train or get a car. I don't really want to stay over night at that festival, so a car would make things more easy. But good thing there is still a couple of days left to think about that. Yeah, looking forward to see you again too!

Eersel is a few minutes from Eindhoven. Eindhoven has an airport with a few low fare airlines!

Maybe just wait for booking until TS makes an official confirmation for this gig!
Manowar (the other headliner) just cancelled the festival 'cause the festival 'Fails To Fulfill Contractual Obligations'.

^^Uuh, yes... TS has also disappeared from their website. I hope they haven't pulled out too. It would be nice to get a confirmation soon, as they have special ticket prices until the end of this year.

statement on the festivals FB-page:

Dear all....as much as we want to write and comment on the post, we have to stay professional and not cause a riot. As said...we are still working on a solution to make this festival still happen and to give the fans want they want. You can be assure of that! We will not go into details for this is not the place and its a concern of FoM. All we can hope for is your patience and understanding.

If Twisted Sister cancels Forces of Metal, I hope they come to Graspop in Belgium at the end of June. I bought a ticket for Graspop and I was thinking of going to FoM just to see Twisted Sister but now I'm sure that I'm not going, I don't trust it anymore. I just hope they come to Graspop whatever happens...
