  Location: Graveyard BLVD. | Daniel Stanton - 2006-06-05 6:37 PM On June second I rolled into Las Vegas Nevada with WASP, set them up at the Empire Ballroom and departed their tour two dates short of their stint in America. Blackie gave me the ok and knew of my committed dates with TWISTED SISTER.. That night I took the 1:00am red eye back to NY. The plane was delayed 2 hours because of the rain and ever threatened not to take off...With that, I would never make it back to NY in time to connect with TS.... Fortunately for me, and for the lives of everyone around me, the plane took off...I landed in NY by 11:00am attended to some personal matters, grabbed a car service and Mark Mendoza and I headed back to the airport I just landed at several hours earlier.. (Jay Jay and Dee left a day earlier to take in some sites)... We met up with AJ and Eddie along with our techs Duane and Jimmy. We arrived in Glasgow on June 4th and spent the day checking in to the hotel and catching up on dinner and some good ole laughs. On the morning of June 5th, the crew and I set out to load in at the Carling Academy Glasgow. I sang some songs at soundcheck with Mark, Jay Jay and AJ until Eddie and Dee arrived. Was cool as always singing with these guys! Dee and Eddie arrived and did 4 songs at sound check, Shoot'em Down, The Kids Are Back, Captain Howdy and ....The Fire Still Burns, then broke into Rock Candy and You Got Another Thing Comin' Doors opened at 7:00pm Hanoi Rocks - INCREDIBLE hit the stage at 7:45 and played an hour set. At 8:30pm we realized that we didn't have the intro tape to It's A Long Way To The Top If You Want To Rock N Roll -Shit Fuck, now what...Well, lets just say we got the song! at 9:15pm the house lights dimmed and The Legendary TWISTED SISTER hot the stage hard returning to Glasgow! Set went as follows.... WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW KIDS ARE BACK YOU CANT STOP ROCK N ROLL CAPTAIN HOWDY SHOOT'EM DOWN STAY HUNGRY FIRE STILL BURNS WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT THE PRICE BURN IN HELL (DRUM SOLO) I WANNA ROCK IT'S ONLY ROCK N ROLL UNDER THE BLADE I AM I'M ME I am now sitting in the production office, Mark Mendoza sitting next to me eyeing me down and is wondering - WHEN WE ARE GETTING THE HELL OUT OF HERE TONIGHT...SO GOTTA GO, OR ELSE I WILL GO ONE WAY OR ANOTHER - AND TRUST ME, PAIN WILL BE INVOLVED! WOW..ya got the famous AJ's drum sticks and ya saw Eddie O.......now that ROCKS! Glad you had a blast... | ||
