OK, here is my take on the UK tour, albeit 3 shows.

Monday

Drive up form Newcastle to Glasgow, just under 4 hours and arrive around 1pm. The weather is fantastic. I check out the venue, seeing "Twisted Sister" on the billboard outside sends a shiver down my spine. Off to get food and check out the pub that some slamboarders are to meet at. I missed out, when I hit the pub no-one appeared to be there. I then get a call from the mighty "Joe Rock". We meet up, exchange stories and get a bite to eat. Off to the show. Hanoi are good, but then to the main event, "Twisted @*@*@*@ Sister". They blow the place apart although the audio mix is not quite as good as it could have been. Great show with Dee and Jay Jay ranting in top form. Stay back and get pictures with the band and get assurances that if I take my Jay Jay signature guitar to the next gig that the band will sign it. Gone midnight and off for the journey back home by car.

Tuesday

Set off for Manchester with guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arrive midday and park up. Meet up with Joe Rock and wait outside the venue listening to the sound check. I meet up with Peter and Dan "Geordie" Bach from the slamboard. When I say Geordie it turns out that he is from Wales but he will forever more be known as Gerodie to me! The band arrives and I get to meet Jay Jay. True to his and Danny's word they remember the guitar and he is happy to sign it. We talk and he signs the back of my beloved guitar. He even plays it sitting outside the venue. I just can't believe it, my guitar. He then offers to play at the show but can't as it does not have strap locks fitted. He then arranges to take the guitar away to get the case signed by the entire band. The show is truly awsome, the sound mix is spot on and the band are tight. Dee's vocals are better than ever. He hits "The Price" superbly, what a song. Michael Monroe and the Guitarist come on at the end of the set. Andy McCoy is out of his head and starts a rant, that goes on. Dee takes no @*@* and swiftly takes control of the mic. If we didn't already know, Dee is not a man to be messed with. Paul, another SMF I met on "my tour", took his 10 year old son, "the next TS generation". He was worried that he might not see the show. No problems as a member of the TS crew find a special spot for him on top of a lighting rig. These guys rock. Paul is a happy and a proud father watching his son rock to TS. We wait back after the show and I meet the band again and I collect my guitar. The job they did on it is cool as hell. Jay Jay even gives me some guitar picks. Off to the hotel for some much needed sleep.

Wednesday

Off to Wolverhampton, after collecting "Joe Rock" from his hotel. 2 hours and we arrive to find Joe has booked the roughest of Hotels. It was more like an asylum!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We find the venue to find the two German girls that are also making all the shows already already there as they were at the other venues. I meet up with Dan and Peter again, but add to the slamboarder list Liz and Bex, mini Dee and is family and Mr Sister and family. I miss most of the Hanoi set but have been lucky enough to get an access all areas pass, thanks you know who your are. Unbelivably they better the night before. It was great to see the action from behind the scenes, Jay Jay even sitting next to me during AJ's awesome drum solo. I finish the night talking to Mark for a short while. He greets me by punching me in the chest, this guy packs a punch. We talk about the new CD but he gives little away. Now for the 4 hour drive home. In bed at 5am, day off and then back to work on Friday!!!!!!

WHAT A FEW NIGHTS; TWISTED CAME, CONQUERED AND KICK ASS LIKE ONLY THEY CAN.

THANKS DEE, JAY JAY, EDDIE, MARK, AJ AND ALSO DANNY, JIMMY, DWAYNE? AND RICK. YOU MADE THIS SMF A VERY HAPPY GUY.

Until next time, I hope there will be one.

Sorry for going on, Richard UK SMF

Hi Paul DEE

Great to see that you sorted out your PC problems and that you are back on the Slamboard. Good to meet you at the show.

Not yet sorted a pass with the guvnor for Germany, yet!!!!!!! Things are very hectic so it looks unlikely but I live in hope.
