I really need to know if the Emporium show will be "censored" so we can take the young kiddies...or is Dee gonna just let it rip like old times? Has a decision been made by the band on this yet? And remember everyone.."dress trendy and neat!" lmfao!! Edited by Fast Joey 2012-11-23 3:39 PM

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 2072 | A member of the club called me back today and said the policy is 21+ to enter, and that policy will be in effect the night of the TS show. If anyone hears different information please let me know. It looks like its going to be a great show, the lineup is really coming together.

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | I'm disappointed as well Joey. I shared my first TS show with my mom and it was an incredible experience that strengthened our relationship. Seeing parents share the Twisted experience with their kids makes me hopeful for the future of heavy metal, and I'm thrilled that SMFs can have that special moment with their own children. I really hope that Twisted will consider talking to the club to allow under 21 with an adult. Not only will they sell more tickets (although I fully expect this to sell out) it will be in the spirit of Twisted Christmas!

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | I sent the club an email via facebook to let them know that many of us fans have kids who love to come to Twisted Christmas....that folks like Chris bought tickets and a plane ticket for his daughter, and that we hope that they may consider a one-time exception.... ...and I heard a rumor that some of our Twisted royalty have heard our concerns and are looking into it... don't know what that will mean...but as we say in Bingo..."hold your cards!" let's see what Twisted Christmas miracles are in store....

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | wasn't me George... I think some of the Twisted management may have talked with the club. No official confirmation of that. I still haven't found anything in writing that says its all ages...but I'm really crossing my fingers that with some of us calling, facebook posting, emails-- maybe the club will change their mind and post it soon.

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 717 Location: Chicago | OK. I called again earlier today and the guy I spoke to told me that the show would be 21+. After explaining my situation, he suggested calling back tonight to speak to a manager. He said that they had been receiving a lot of calls about the age restriction. So that's what I did. I just got off the phone with a manager at The Emporium and he told me that there had been a miscommunication and that the Twisted show would be an ALL AGES show! So I don’t know if it was the facebook messages from everyone, the phone calls from everyone, or a polite intervention from our good friend Danny but I want to thank everyone for their support and part in getting the club to change their stance no matter how big or small. This is just another example of the kind of people that follow Twisted Sister and it shows that the guys in the band care about their fans because I suspect that this wouldn’t have been changed if someone associated with the band didn’t at least say something. Either way, Thanks EVERYONE! Now I can really start to look forward to the show! My daughter is excited and this will be our first real father/daughter trip with just the 2 of us. I can’t wait! We’ll see you all there on the 16th!!!

Location: Rocking In The Florida Dark ! | bobcat09 - 2012-11-25 11:17 AM You got to be kidding me! LET IT RIP! Sadly enough-- its gotten that pittiful --sometimes the wrong people with some money try to influence what shouldnt have been. ( its like the person who has the money to buy a standard shift corvette or similar and hasnt a clue how to actually drive it) But life is what it is. apparently there will allways be peeps that want to bring inappropriate age peeps to what was known as a hard rock act. To me its what makes one of the demisses of a hard rock act and it is, just a sign of the times and a further reduction of personal freedoms. I mean god knows we wouldnt want one of the best hard rock acts of all time to offend anyone now. -- forget it though, Its a waste of time to even try to explain it to people like that. It will just piss some of them off and provoke some rediculous retort. Just be glad you feel the way you do, while hard rock still exists. Dont waste your time trying to explain it, just be glad you know it. Edited by Jim Hudson 2012-12-07 9:43 PM

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | Jim- I don't think this is an issue anymore. It appears (per both Capt Howdy and Dianne, one of our fave Twisted photographers) that the club WILL allow those under 21 to attend. Nowhere on the websites has anyone made any mention of restrictions on profanity--sometimes Dee tones it down (a touch) when he knows there are lots of youngsters in the house for Twisted Christmas....but I assure you, if you've seen Twisted Christmas live....and you've heard the live version of "I Saw Mommy....", you'll know that it's the same ol' bawdy Dee we know and love. It's going to be a great show for an important cause-- buy your tickets folks! This one's gonna be a lotta fun!

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 2072 | Terry, Slamboard members I ordered my tickets last night and on the receipt i got in my email it says any age admitted if accompanied by an adult. So it sounds like children can attend with parents or guardians. Thank you for working this out See you all next Sunday. Hope its a big turnout that makes lots of money for the cause.
