See that? All you SMF's who were poo-poo'ing the Christmas songs....ya missed a real beauty tonight! That's right...they trimmed the Christmas setlist and we had plenty of old goodies PLUS my new favorite live....Heroes!

Full road report coming soon....but it's 2 am, I'm taking Capt Howdy and his daughter back to the airport at oh-too-early tomorrow, and then a nice long 5-6 hour drive home. THEN, my babies...it will be a hearty cuppa joe and a nice long report with all the fascinating and not-so-fascinating tidbits of what you missed if you didn't watch the webcast. (WEBCAST?? WHO KNEW?? I could have saved 6 hrs of driving? sheesh,)

til tomorrow my babies

Yeah, you could have saved 6 hours of driving, but you know the trip was worth it! It was a Great show! The best seats I've ever had for Twisted Sister! Well, there weren't any seats but...you know! Good to see You and Capt Howdy again. Did you know that Jay Jay's TS Bone Logo/Wreath guitar was sporting Pink Guitar Strings? I was close enough to notice, and thought it was pretty cool. I also don't remember seeing Eddie play that Black Bullseye guitar before. Is that new? I was chuckling inwardly about how Dee was pissed that the mics weren't working properly...as if he's never seen how Mark abuses the mics, LOL! I had camera troubles tonight though, so even though I was so close that I had to dodge the guys flying sweat, I got very few pics But Holly Balls! Mark Killed it on Silver Bells, right? Anyway, all around killer night with kick ass music and they raised a bunch of money for a great cause. Hurricane Sandy left me without power or heat or water for two weeks. I can't even imagine how it's affected those whose entire homes, towns, and communities were completely wiped off the face of the Earth.

Tis definitely the season for giving!

Have a Twisted Christmas Everybody!

What a great show last night...was right up front, just like the good old days, parked right in front of Jay Jay. Wish I knew who was who as far as the slamboard members go, would've have like to have said hello!

Not at all like the past shows. It was a very stripped down version of their usual Christmas Spectacular. To be fair, The Emporium is more of a large bar than an actual concert venue. As such, the way the stage was situated, there didn't seem to be much room to bring out all the crazy Christmas props and bells and whistles. No costumes really; JayJay in a shiny dark grey suit, Eddie in all black, Mark in his Denim top to bottom, Dee in his Leathers, tattered T and Leather Trench, AJ I couldn't see at all other than I think he was wearing a headband! But it was a fantastic show. My only real problem, was that the Floor was a huge pit. I'm 6 feet tall, and the edge of the stage came up to my chin...add a 10inch tall monitor, and dammit you can't see the stage! Still, great show, no regrets whatsoever!

Cathy (Front Row gal), Capt Howdy and I first rushed to the front of the stage, but it really was a fucking almost 6-foot wall! Add the monitors, and the best we would have been able to see was the occasional boot tip. So we headed up to the balcony for an unobstructed view. I love those pink strings--he's had them for a few shows now. Eddie's black on black guitar was new--sounded fantastic. I could feel Dee's frustration--it seems that the one thing that tanks more than anything else are those wireless mics--don't know what the deal is. knowing what a perfectionist Dee is, I hated seeing him so frustrated.

I'm starting on the road report now....more goodies coming...

Terry,

Thanks for posting the setlist. I'm positive you'll post a road report so detailed, thorough, thought out, blow by blow, play by play, song by song, word for word road report. Unfortunately I couldn't make it last night but your report will be the next best thing. I missed hearing "heros are hard to find" Damn, why does life have to be so busy? HAHA!

Thanks again Terry! See you soon!

Heroes are hard to find?! Way cool! Cheers guys!

Maybe just maybe, one day we'll hear the two songs I've been waiting to enter to the set: TV Wife (JJ or Dee on vocals, or why not share) and Hot Love (Yes, seriously I like to song alot!)

Happy xmas to all the SMFs and of course to this great band!

ps. I'm a great TS mood as I watched the New York Steel DVD last night and it was awesome!
