Last week a local magazine did a special about Graspop. One of the articles was an interview with Dee. I have translated one answer from this interview...

*********************************
Q: Are there plans for a new album?

DEE: Untill a while ago the answer was: absolutely not! The people don't care about new albums from bands who are round for 30 to 40 years. Look at the sales or airplay those new albums get. I call such releases toiletmusic. Watch carefully during a concert. When a singer announces they will play a song from the new album, everybody goes peeing. We have a drum solo for that (laughing).
I just wrote a theatre musical 'A very Twisted Christmas' and it's about a band who plays some of our older and Christmas songs but also a handfull of new songs. There is a small chance we will record those new songs with Twisted Sister but the band doesn't know it yet. Now I just hope they don't read this interview! Oh well, they want a new album for years, so they wont be angry.
*********************************
Sorry Dee, I had to share this

Yep. That definitely sounds cool. And Dee, people only go to the toilet when the new songs suck.

Dee actually mentioned something to this effect 3 or 4 years ago when he originally the idea about the musical but it was just an idea at that point. Glad to see it may be developing into reality!

An interview from the Belgian (french) radio station Classic21 with J.J. The first question is about a (the?) new record. Watch J.J. saying exactly the same as Dee in the magazine interview. I think that they may have matched their statements

(Sorry for the very annoying presentors...)

I don't know if this is realistic because of what happened in the past but I love to hear a Twisted Sister cover of the Widowmaker song, the iron road!

Can't see why they wouldn't cover Iron Road as it was written for Desperado, as was Heroes Are Hard To Find. Personally I'd like to see them record 'What's Love Without You'. The demo of this song is on disc two of the 25th anniversary edition of Stay Hungry!
