Here's some details for the new album, according to blabbermouth.net.

If you can't open the link, the text is below.

I would assume that any official press release would be posted by Danny Stanton before too long so we should see this reconfirmed here on TS.com if it's true.

Best,

TWISTED SISTER Announce Title, Release Date For 'Christmas' Album - June 26, 2006

According to MTV.com, Razor & Tie Records has set an October 17 release date for TWISTED SISTER's "final" disc, "A Twisted Christmas", featuring metal versions of holiday classics including "Deck the Halls" and "O Come All Ye Faithful". TWISTED SISTER are currently recording and have had to cancel performances at European festivals this summer to have the LP completed for the holiday season (as first reported here on June 1).

TWISTED SISTER's re-recording of their classic 1984 album "Stay Hungry", dubbed "Still Hungry", was issued in 2004 on Spitfire Records.

Have you guys seen some of the comments people have left on blabbermouth about this .....Man people just piss me off ..but then again you have to feel sorry for them cause they will never see or get their asses kicked by one of the greatest bands on earth!!! I'm not real happy about this whole Christmas album...but I will buy it!! when it comes out I just wish they would give us die hard fans a real Christmas gift and give us a final disc of new material!! I dont know about y'all but that would make my friggin holiday!!!!

listen people gotta say i do not like the sound of this xmas album.
if ts want to do a cover album there must be better material than christmas songs.
im sorry but it just sounds like a spinal tap moment.
i love ts but i just cant get my head round this, and to cancel festivals and half a uk tour for an album of xmas covers seems daft.
anyway i hoped and proved wrong and the album blows my head off,
stay hungry
cheers g.
let the good times roll

Aren't you used to this by now by being a TS fan? Who cares what people say? Hasn't Dee's lyrics taught you anything? Don't feel sorry for anyone....be happy for yourself!

And I'm not thrilled with this idea of a TS Xmas....if done wrong, the production could really stamp it as a joke.

This is only my opinion but I think they'll be laughed at by the metal community.JJ French once said in an interview that the band wish they hadn't have done Leader Of The Pack as it did them no favours so why on earth do something like this.

Twisted Sister could have proved once and for all to every doubter on the planet that they are one of the greatest metal bands of all time by bringing out a final kick ass album but i feel this will be the nail in the TWISTED coffin.

I still love em and always will but i feel they should have given this a bit more thought.

i'm looking forward to anything by them. why does it always have final in quotations? is there a chance more unreleased demos or older concerts will be released in the future? who hopes that is why?

I agree with K9 and HAMMERHEAD.

Still Hungry was a leap of faith to accept and now this. Not the best move.

I'm not going to agree or disagree with what has been said to date. However, I will add something to it.

I am a TS fan, bottom line. I have been a fan for a long time. Now, I'm not detracting from the fans who say they disagree or agree with the decision that has been made or those who have been fans for a shorter amount of time. I am saying that in the time I have been a fan, TS has always given their all on everything they have done. They have also pulled shit out of their collective ass when we, the fans, least expected it and happily surprised us all.

So I am not going to say anything at this point regarding whether or not this "Christmas" idea is going to fly or not, because I don't know what the entire concept of the recording is going to be yet.

I know that I'm going to buy whatever they put out because I haven't disliked one thing they have put out yet. And that includes "Leader of the Pack". If TS came out with a recording of Nursery Rhymes, I would buy it because it would crush all the Mother Goose shit that came before it.

I know that I am going to ignore what others say because as an SMF, I really don't give a shit what anybody thinks anyway (as Jaysin so eloquently pointed out).

Just my 2 cents...

yup, have to say if it is what it sounds like it's gonna be a big flop. I guess it will sell well in the record stores to parents looking for a cd for their kids stocking and they go "wow, TS. I remember them" I will buy it because I am a TS fan, it will be fun to listen to -ONCE. Then I'm sure it will sit on my shelf and maybe get played once every 5 years or so. I just don't do Christmas so it won't even get a yearly airing out. Not gonna run out the day it comes out for it either, depends on the $$$ situation, if the bux are there I'll buy it that day if not maybe someone will give it to me for christmas LOL.

There is a tiny part of me that dreams though and says - what if - what if inside that CD with the Dee Snider santa on the cover, it says "It's not Christmas, it's April Fools" and its a whole new album!!! wouldn't that be freakin awesome???

Well guess I'm not a real SMF then cause I like my music because I like my music, I mean I wouldn't stop likeing the band if they did a rap album, I just wouldn't like or buy that album. I like TS for their kick ass R&R

I mean i dont like them for how they dress or what kind of people they are, I like em for the music and I dont like rap (or christmas) so..............

I love TS and I really want to see them go out on top. I truly hope this Christmas album will not be the death of them. A new album of new original metal songs is the way I would love to see Sister go out on top. Either way long live TS.

Hey Mac, I know what you mean but rap covers wouldn't make me real happy either. And I'm not saying TS shouldn't do the christmas album, they should do whatever makes them happy, hell it's their band not ours (much as we like to think it is) All I'm saying is they shouldn't expect all their fans to be happy about it or even buy it. I'm very selective where my money goes, if I had a lot to toss around I'd buy it just for shits & giggles but I don't so it won't be at the top of my buy list, thats all.

Whatever people may think of whether the album will be good or not - I can't wait for it. But by doing a christmas album I think they are totally ignoring any fans that live by any other religions, especially jewish fans.

I'm not exactly christian, although I do "celebrate" christmas (I go to the pub and have the family round ) so I will be ok listening to this. But also, Twisted Sister is all I ever listen to, shared with AC/DC. I want to be able to listen to them all year round.

Stayin sick forever! MGS
