First off, let me take this time to say I hope everyone had a great holiday, and send my wishes to you all for the best new year ever.
Okay, now that we've dispensed with the pleasantries, let's get down to biz...
On behalf of the band and myself, please accept our humble apologies for the site outage over the weekend. This was especially annoying for me, because in 15 years of running this site it's never been down for that long. I honestly do not even know what caused it - the hosting company told me it was a 'known issue' with their server - but when I asked what that issue was, their tech support person refused to tell me.
This is unacceptable. If my site is gonna be down for 4 days, I deserve to know why. And if you don't think I deserve to know why, then it's time for me to move on and take Twisted's web business elsewhere.
SO...
We are moving the site to a new hosting company, probably sometime next week. This Slamboard has been archived and will be viewable on the new site, but we'll have a new board to take its place. All registered users on this board have already been registered on the new site, and you should be able to log in with the same user name and password as you use here. I ask that if you have any problems logging in once the new site goes live, contact me at the webmaster email and I'll make sure we'll get you set up.
And speaking of the new site...
It's gonna kick ass. We'll finally have a site that is as awesome as the band it represents. I'm still moving the site content over, but I'm so excited to show it to you guys. Sometime in the next week or so, you'll come back to this site and you'll see a very different site. I can't wait to spring it on you. It will be faster, will display amazingly well on mobile devices, and will be much more secure than what we've got now. The spam problems should decrease dramatically, if not stop altogether, on the new site.
So that's it. Again, sorry for the outage. And I hope you dig the new site. I think you will. Happy New Year, everyone.

| I heard it was the work of North Koreans….
the 2nd TS site (this one) was better than the first one..and the THIRD one coming up is gonna kick some ass! (And it will make road reporting a helluva lot easier for me!)

| Jim, when they put the old board back up, not sure what happened, but they didn't flip a switch or two or three. I'm seeing posts from 'guests' and just tons of spam being posted daily. I'm deleting it as fast as I can, but it just keeps coming.
But no worries...this old board will be history soon enough, and we'll have a great new one to kick around on. It's gonna be awesome, hang in there... |

I also turned off new registrations so the spammers can't sign up now.
