Yes Finally, Twisted Sister will return to Toronto. I've been waiting for this since 1985! And Massey Hall is a great venue for a show.

What a great surprise, as I didn't expect it. On another note picked up my Twisted Christmas CD yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. Truth be told I'd rather all original material, but I liked what Twisted did with the Christmas songs. I noticed the chain indicating that Oh Come All Ye Faithful will be the video. I'd rather see Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, or Heavy Metal Christmas, as I don't want Twisted to only be known for the melody of Were Not Gonna Take it, but I do enjoy that song and understand why it's the first video.

Anyway, all us Toronto SMFs need to spread the word to ensure this concert gets sold out. I expect all you Montreal and for that matter Quebec SMFs, and all you U.S. SMFs from Buffalo and Detroit should all be doing the road trip thing to the show here as well!

Mark,

You certainly got that right. I never expected another Twisted Sister show in Toronto. I thought I would be travelling to see one of what is supposed to be the final shows (which I might still do anyway, especially if there is one in the NY area).

I've already started spreading the news...and like Mark said, everybody within a relatively short distance is expected in attendance! I know a bunch of people who have been waiting for this, but there can never be too many. Massey Hall seats just shy of 3000 people. Let's pack this place and show Twisted Sister that Toronto still wants to rock. BTW for those unfamiliar with the venue, it is a reserved seating (which I suppose could be made GA if the promoters/band choose though that is not common at this venue), 3 level soft seater, with pretty much not a bad seat in the house - and great sound too. Anybody need info about Toronto, feel free to drop me a line.

If it was only that easy! But for once it may be work that is hard to convince. But I think I can make it happen. I got my passport situated yesterday. I figure get in on the 5th, go to the show, do the hockey hall of fame on Wed, see the city on Thursday and have my meeting and see one of my bands Friday.

Anyone know when the tickets are going on sale for this show?

I've checked ticketmaster and the Massey Hall website and nothing is up yet. I definitely want to get good seats, especially if like you said Corey General Admission is not available. I've been to a few shows there and I don't remember seeing a GA area.

Also speaking of hype, those of us in Toronto should flood the radio stations (Q107, 97.7 and even 102.1) and Muchmusic and MTV Canada with requests and info that Twisted Sister is returning to Toronto after 23 years!

I hope Twisted is planning to do a Muchmusic visit while they are in town as that will give them National exposure, and I'm sure Much would be happy to have them visit and plus if they are bringing out a video it will guarantee that it gets played.

For those interested. Tickets went on sale today from the Massey Hall/ Roy Thomson hall box office in Toronto for "FriendsFirst" members. If your interested in getting them early you'll have to do what I did and pay $80 extra for a membership first. Since I bought 8 tickets its only $10 each. Apparently tickets go on sale to everyone on Saturday and they are 59 each (or 49 at the back).

Do a Google Search for the Massey Hall official website if you want all the info.
