Hope you're back on the mend. Good chance you didn't have swine flu (H1N1) if the only presentation was vomiting, nausea, headache and poss. fever. Those are more consistent with a whole family of other viruses, most notably, Norovirus--this is the same bug made famous by the cruise ships a few years back. Comes on quick, lasts about 24-48hrs, and is mostly a stomach bug. It lives on surfaces, so be sure you wipe down well once you're feeling better. Like all bugs, the best defense is good handwashing and avoiding sick folks.
Swine Flu present just like normal influenza--it's primarily upper respiratory. Cough, sore throat, fever, headache, muscle aches. It can have nausea/vomiting but that is less common. (the term: stomach flu is a colloquial expression--officially, there is no actual stomach "flu")
I myself came down with a wicked cold two days ago after Plymouth--there are a lot of really nasty bugs going around right now, in addition to H1N1.
loved all the jokes by the way!
