| i purchased the album yesteday but have not listened to it yet. i'll be shocked if its anywhere near as good as the first hellbilly deluxe album. rob zombie could have been this generations alice cooper but instead has become a parody of himself. where's the zombie makeup? where's the heavy has hell industrial sound?
rob seems to have used hellbilly deluxe to launch a movie career rather than launch a solo career. after the success of that album he seems to prefer making movies and music is an afterthought. what seems like a rebirth of an artist became the death of zombie. each album up to and including hellbilly deluxe that rob was a part of got better and better until he became successful as a solo act. |
