It was great to meet up with Dave, Funtazia, and hang out for the day and to see Paul Dee and Dan. Paul, I hope all is OK with your daughter. Thanks Dave for the lift in and out, it was great to catch up and talk all things Twisted.
Twisted blew the place apart, the sound was great and although the set was short, just 55 minutes, the guys had the place moving like no-one else on the bill. They just do it time and time again. Jay Jay was working the entire stage, including narrow strips either side of the stage, a Health and Safety Managers nightmare . The boys were really tight, although no Pinkburst or Bullseye guitars to be seen, would love to know why? Real shame that "The Price" and "The Fire" were dropped but something had to be missed.
I would love to think that the guys would play INGUN tomorrow but sadly I know they won't. . How about playing it at the soundcheck and letting the SMF's from the Slamboard in, password INGUN. If you need an extra guitarist for WNGTI tomorrow you need just ask , I will be in London all day!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lastly, I was so pleased that my youngest was able to go as his operation was put back until next week. I had hoped that we might get backstage or that there would be a meet and greet but it was not to be this time. All the same it was great to see him next to me pumping his arm and singing his heart out, the new wave of SMF's is already with us.
I will leave the full setlist and road report to Funtazia, looking forward to the awards show tomorrow and meeting up with some SMF's again.
