I didn't see them in the clubs back in the day but I did see Dee jump off the stage and rip on a guy in Portland, ME back in October of '84. It was the Stay Hungry tour. The Cumberland County Civic Center held about 10,000 and I think it was sold out or at least very close. Twisted was the headliner over Dokken and Y&T. This guy was right next to me on the barricade just left of center stage. He was just standing there with his arms crossed while everyone around him was going crazy. About 5 or 6 songs into the show, Dee is talking to the audience and commenting on how crazy everyone was going. Then he goes "Except for this guy down front. What's the matter son? Your seat's not good enough for you?" To which the idiot responded by flipping Dee the bird and yelling "Fuck you!". Dee exploded! He went off on the guy throwing the mic down and jumping off the stage. He was standing between the stage and the barricade screaming in this guy's face while security was trying to pull him back. He was there in the guy's face for maybe 30-45 seconds then climbed back on the stage, picked up the mic and said get that piece of shit out of here and had security pull the guy over the barricade and escort him out. The crowd went insane and the show continued.

That was my 2nd ever Twisted Sister show. I almost got kicked off my high school football team the following day because I skipped practice to leave early for the show. Coach found out why I wasn't at practice and was not impressed. At least it was clear that I had my priorities straight back then. LOL!
