It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…a Twisted Christmas that is! In April of 2005 I saw the reunited line up of Twisted Sister perform live in Vegas and it turned out to be the best show I’d seen all year long. On The stage was adorned with festive features including: guitar amps that looked like Christmas presents, ribbons and lights and garland wrapped around the mic stands, the drums and the P.A. speakers - even their stage techs were dressed like elves. Nothing compared, however, to seeing frontman Dee Snider in full Twisted Sister make-up mind you, appearing in a full-fledged Santa suit - complete with beard. Besides looking more or less exactly like they did in 1984, the guys nailed every song with absolute ease and sounded fresh and full of spirit (pun intended . Playing an array of songs from their classic catalogue including the hits We’re Not Gonna take it”, “I Wanna Rock”, “The Price”, “SMF”, “You Can’t Kill Rock and Roll” and “Under The Blade” they also managed to squeeze in an assortment of Christmas carols such as “Silver Bells”, “White Christmas”, “O Come All Ye Faithful”, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and their own take on the “12 Days of Christmas” titled “Heavy Metal Christmas”. In addition to their amazing visual and sonic performance, their sense of humor was constant throughout the night as well, keeping us all in stitches. Ultimately this was a fantastic night of | ||
