Okay, okay. So it's probably a bit premature for this but what the hell. We haven't seen the jackets yet so I have little excitement in my life.

I'd like to propose a slamboard get together at the Silverton Casino, prior to the show. Last year, the doors opened at 7pm, and the line started around 6:30pm. I'd like to suggest an early dinner perhaps--5:00 pm? The Silverton has a buffet on the premises, and according to Susannah, it's quite good. We could all gather outside the restaurant at a designated spot and then have a dinner together. It would great to see many of you again....and nice to meet some new folks in the flesh. Then we could all wait in line together and make the dash for our spot in the front row. (one other nicety of all being together at the front--we can hold each other's spot if we go on drink runs...bathroom...etc.)

I thought it would be easiest to just dine at the casino since we're probably staying at different hotels all over the place but we're all headed in the same direction for our evening.

sound like a plan?

Armadillo ,

Excellant fu*kin idea. Having had a few of these may I make a few suggestions. (If you pay me no mind your not gonna hurt my feelings so don't even give it a second thought) 5:00 is probably a busy time at any eating establishment and if the line started around 6:30 that may leave everyone only 1 1/2 hrs to eat, meet each other, bs etc etc. "IF" you decided to pick a time like 3:00pm (Right between lunch and dinner time) the place should be almost empty, so all us SMF'S can hang as a group pulling tables together no problem, have a few drinks, BS, Eat and still have some time to get in line. Trust me that 3 1/2hr gap is gonna fly by. If we get a decent head count we can always ask the place to set up seating for XX+ cause you always run into people going to the show and just wanna hang with the crowd.

Anyway, count me in. Would love to meet the couple Sister helped in making one of the Holy Sacrements. lol

I bet you, me, and 9er are the only ones who remember that marriage is one of the holy sacraments...ok, well maybe not the only ones, but I haven't seen it referred to as a sacrament in years!

Oh no, maybe I should have replied in the OFF TOPIC part of this forum...herein lies the dilemma. If your reply is OT but the original post is not, then what do you do?? You can then cause the creation of a thread in the TS related part of the Slamboard that everyone will think is OT and then other people will reply and others will reply to that and then...YOU JUST BROKE THE RULES!!!!!! OH NO!!!!!!

See ya,

Mayor

Gotta collect those oft-promised drinks from MP1975.

Here's hoping we get word on the show soon.

No problem. Get plenty of sleep the night before, eat a hearty breakfast then find a real comfortable bar stool. You earned every one.

And Jaysin, if you're taggin along with me for the ride to Canada, bad news buddy, you're sitting in the trunk......LMAO (I'm teasin ya)

I want a detailed report on the show from Vegas.........MP, I'm designating you as the narrator for the Vegas show, so it better be good....LOL

Peace out all!

If I end up going, I should have a really good perch to take pics from - and you know I'm booking a hotel with high-speed wireless.

So the images will be on the site the night of.

Excellent suggestions MP! Sounds like a good plan...I'm sure we'll nail down the specifics closer to the date.

look forward to meeting you again--we met at the July 4th six-flags show, I believe...
