I don't know if any of you were there for his free show in NYC tonight, (or rather last night). No wonder Twisted was influenced. He really rocked. (I don't know why but for some reason, Joe Elliott sang backup on All The Young Dudes.)

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh SHIT !

I have loved Ian since his Mott Days and "SHOULD" have been at the Uris show in May of 74.
Joe Elliot adored Mott/Ian and has ben buds with Ian for decades.
He just introduced Mott at some awards show across the pond.
Mott the hoople will be reuniting after about 35 years for 5 shows across the pond.

How was it / song list come on details we need details.

Thank you for that link. What a great story. I got my first Mott record when I was about 12 and this was the 1st time I saw Ian Hunter live and I was ecstatic! The band was fantastic. I felt like the luckiest woman in the world, living in NYC and being able to see Ian Hunter like that. Total rock and roll fantasy come true. He said something about being old. What do the English say? Rubbish. He totally rocked my world!
He played 3 songs from the new album - the title track, Arms and Legs, and Up and Running.

The set list (may not be perfect...I think I'm missing one) :

Once Bitten Twice Shy
Central Park and West (One of my favorites!)
Soul of America
Wash us Away
Arms And Legs
Twisted Steel
Big Mouth
RATS
Man Overboard
23A/Angeline
Just Another Night
Dead Man Walking
Up And Running
All The Way From Memphis
All The Young Dudes

NP Your very welcome. I guess I was about the same age. When ever Brain Capers came out. Hes also playing another show in July, check his web site, but its on a Thursday so I'll be working. lol He looks damn good for his age but someof the others haven't faired as well especially Buffin. HAve yet to see a pic of overend then again we have all aged. lol They still kick azz. Thank God for Bowie even a bigger thank God Ian turned down Suffregette City and took All the young dudes instead.

The only song I think you missed was Saturday Gigs which they played right before Dudes.
