I LOVE TS FOR BEING MY FAVOURITE BAND AND GIVING US SO PHENOMENAL MUSIC. I HATE THEM BECAUSE I GOT THE FEELING THAT THEY DONT BELIVE IN THEIRSELVES AND WHAT THEY ARE CAPABLE TO ACHIVE. WHILE OTHER BANDS TRY TO CREATE NEW STUFF TO GET EVEN MORE FAN, TS STICKS TO THEIR OLD MUSIC AND DONT TRY TO LEAVE THE BUBBLE IN WHICH THEY LIVE.

I tend to look at it like this - they know what their audience is coming to see, and they give it to them.

TS is the most honest band you'll ever see, and that's exactly what makes them great. They know how screwed the music industry is, and they realize that a new TS album wouldn't be exactly relevant to what giant corporations want nowadays.

Bottom line? I'd rather see them doing the old stuff and kicking ass with it than doing new stuff and not being true to the original spirit of TS.

One thing to realize is that TS is a band from the 70's and 80's and reached out to many people from that time frame. Although they do appeal to some of the younger generation, my feeling is that they reunited to have some fun. Not to get in the studios all day long and bitch and moan, but rather they reunited to give their fans a "blast from the past" and then some(Still Hungry, and Wakken DVD)

I will always love TS for the band they were, the band they are, and the band they always will be....even long after they retire and hang it up for good.

To use the word "hate" , that is a very strong word my friend.

To me, you either LOVE the band or you HATE the band...There is no middle ground. For all of us SMF's worldwide, we love TS no matter what they decide to do (make more albums or not)

For me, just seeing them play live again after 20 years is just amazing. I've gotten to talk with the boys in the band, and they are nothing but genuine people.

Please think next time before saying that you "hate" TS because they are not recording another album like other bands.......and quite frankly, these so called other bands SUCK!

So Dee, MAM, AJ, Eddie, Jay Jay and the man behind the scenes Danny Stanton........GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Peace out!

I agree with you TS Fan Forever, though I'm a younger fan at 16 TS had 5 kick ass CDs in the 80's. I'd love nothing more than to get a new studio album from them, but if not I still love them. I think TS could put out something better than today's bands (Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects (BTW Dirty Little Secret is really starting to piss me off)) but if not some of my favorite bands are still going (Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, Metallica, hopefully AC/DC and GNR)

Yup I agree with TSfan too! Can you imagine if they tried to do an album of what todays industry wants, it would suck rotten eggs. It would either be some beboppy radio shit with a slight edge so they could still call it metal or it would be screaming death metal flavor of the week.

The only thing I disagree with, there is a middle ground, you know all those people that say "oh I love TS!" and then you find out the only songs they know are I wanna rock & we're not gonna take it. they do have a genuine love for those songs and more so for that era and those songs take them back to it but do they love TS, nope, but they don't hate em either.

iron maiden and metallica still make albums that are commerciallly successful but they suck or at least are mediocre. there is no passion in iron maiden's music anymore and i am dissapointed.why should TS do the same?yes , new iron maiden and metallica cds sell but who's gonna remember these new songs after a few years? they will not acquire the classic status of the old 80s songs.new metallica suck(in my opinion) and new iron maiden albums contain music with no inspiration, originality or any kind of good innovation, instead rather boring recycled material in most cases. why should TS make an album with no soul?

Why do you assume that a new TS album would be mediocre. Furthermore, In my opinion a commercial album does not mean a bad album. Love is for Suckers is mainly considered a commercial album however it kicks everyone’s ass. As a fan I would love to see new stuff coming from my favourite band.

another good point. Personally, I love Bon Jovi, and I think the're new stuff is great (execpt that gosh darn country song), no reason TS wouldn't be.

1st Dee said on his site once during a Q n A he hasn't written a lyric in 10 years or so. He just ain't feeling it so why push him.

2nd Most of the Boyz just don't have the time to commit to what it takes to put out a new album. Lets face it in the time off the Boyz got lives they just can't stop everything now and go to a studio. (See 1st reason again) lol

3rd It ain't broke don't fix it. Why ruin the catalogue that exists. They sell out major festivals over seas and they sell out all venues in the States. Leave well enough alone.

4th You need a fix Go get Eddie's album, Axes to Axes, it really kicks ass and will be a major surprise after the first time you play it through. This album don't even have to be played a few times so it warms up on you. Yes, I do think it's that good.

The Boys have done pretty much all they can since reuniting. A new LIVE DVD/CD they remade Stay Hungry they play as much as their personal schedules permit. Not sure you can ask for much more. They even play requests from demented fans. lol That one I know well.

5 good points, which reminds me I really need to get Axes to Axes, I'm surprised I haven't yet.

and anyway if TS doesn't want to record we can't make them, Bon Jovi is still going, Foo Fighters are still going, Metallica, and I've heard rumors of a new AC/DC album so I have a lot of favorite bands still going to help satisfy me. lol Agian I'd love nothing more than a new TS album but if not at least they are touring.

I think you have to consider a few things here...
they are doing a "reunion tour" This is very different from the band "getting back together." Dee has made this very clear and Jay Jay also mentioned this in his interview--they are not writing new TS songs or putting another album out...this reunion tour is a gift to the fans, new and old.

you mentioned that you "hate" them--kind of a strong word to use, really, but anyhow..--you hate them because they haven't pushed themselves creatively. This is really a very narrow view of their creativity--Jay Jay has been working exceptionally hard as a band manager, working with new talent. Eddie just put out his new album--Mark has been doing producing. AJ has done many drum clinics, and mentioned last time we met him that he was considering some movie projects. Dee has been doing a variety of things such as producing, radio work etc. These are ALL creative outlets. The band members are using their talents for other endeavors--just not Twisted Sister.

I think it's great that they are able to do what they love--and pursue other projects. I wouldn't want to get up and do the same thing every day for 30 years--even things I love to do. (I mean, hey, I love being a firefighter/EMT....but I still need to find new challenges and find new ways to keep my brain engaged)

My advice? (not that you asked...)
Love TS for the music....love them for doing this awesome reunion tour for us....respect them for their drive to pursue other projects. Hate the fact that all good things must come to an end.
