This weekend GLENN and his band played a private event in New Jersey, USA. As a couple of the lucky attendees, Shirean and I witnessed a fanastic set, which featured some songs never played live before.

Firstly, we have to thank Mike Moore and family for this year's invitation, hospitality and for making it all possible, as well as all his close friends for the very warm welcome. It was great to meet up with old friends and also to make a few new ones. Also, kudos to Mike for allowing us to get Grace in attendence, what with it being in her backyard Nice to see you again Grace and pleased you were able to have Glenn make some calls to someother local GHCP's. That was very cool of him to do that for you.

(Fast Joey edit: I was one of the people Glenn called!

The band this year featured Jeff Kollman and Paul Crook on guitars and Gary Ferguson on drums. There was also a special guest guitarist, Eddie Ojeda from Twisted Sister, who joined the band for one of the encores! The setlist was as follows: Soul Mover - Orion - Land Of The Livin' - Don't Let Me Bleed - Deep Inside A Shell - Nights In White Satin (Acoustic) - I Found A Woman (Acoustic) - Coast To Coast (Acoustic) - Sail Away - Mistreated - Gettin' Tighter You Keep On Moving - Stormbringer Encore: Superstition - Sunshine Of Your Love - Higher Ground

Whoa, I would have felt super honored to have been asked to attend. Rare indeed...thanks for the info.
Paul Crook is a great guitarist! And some acoustic songs too, yeah!

In other news, Hughes has been confirmed to play the Rock Of Ages festival in Seebronn, Germany on Friday, July 28. Glenn will be the third main act, appearing directly before headliners TWISTED SISTER and GOTTHARD. Also on the bill are WISHBONE ASH, HOUSE OF LORDS and SOUL DOCTOR. More information is available at www.rock-of-ages.de.

For those of you who have no idea who Glenn Hughes is, he's probably the best vocalist on the planet. Formerly with Trapeze and Deep Purple and Hughes/Thrall, he also did three albums with Tony Iommi...(Iommi/Hughes - Fused is incredible) he's probably the most sought after vocalist around...he's guested on over a hundred albums...if you see anything with his name attached to it, pick it up!

His new solo album will be out in the beginning of June!

I love the front page of the rock-of-ages website. Really kool..thanks for the link. The English site will be back up soon, says under construction. Hughes is legend! Deep Purple is still awesome. One of my first fav bands of all time. I have listened to some of Iommi's stuff, really good too.
