"MOONLIGHT SERENADE"
Written by Glenn Miller
Performed by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra
1940 Courtesy of RCA Victor Records

MOONLIGHT SERENADE
Glenn Miller

I stand at your gate and the song that I sing is of moonlight.
I stand and I wait for the touch of your hand in the June night.
The roses are sighing a Moonlight Serenade.

The stars are aglow and tonight how their light sets me dreaming.
My love, do you know that your eyes are like stars brightly beaming?
I bring you and sing you a Moonlight Serenade.

Let us stray till break of day
in love's valley of dreams.
Just you and I, a summer sky,
a heavenly breeze kissing the trees.

So don't let me wait, come to me tenderly in the June night.
I stand at your gate and I sing you a song in the moonlight,
a love song, my darling, a Moonlight Serenade.

Thank you so much Cyndi ! Ill have to get it and check it out. Pretty bizzare stuff hun ? Its amassing what can 'just happen'. The Power behind music to me is fanominal, a thing you can feel from your heart and your soul. Something I have allways loved . Well I guess us all since we are on THIS site! This is a orchastra I would have really liked to have seen live. Small bands and big bands , some are just fantastic.

Oh Gosh ---That was really sweet Cyndi , ment a lot to me for sure, so much I allmost let the topic go ----But I so want this, because I do love music so --So im pulling Glenn Miller up on You Tube and allthough really nice , Its not the one I was looking for unfortunately --The style is different seems newer. In the movie, I still have the cassette version , on the second tape maybe what 1/3 of the way in there is a part where they have the professor running after the house keeper , THEN they show the city of seattle and then pan over to the house from a arial view, then they show aspects of that house, from the inside. The Symphony piece I was looking for is behind those sceans. and its driving me crazy cause I cant find it.

Perhaps it was something Stephen had made just for his movie , maybe not but its good , well to me anyway --for me as moving as the Glenn Miller pieces I found were, this is ' musically' more powerfull, newer sounding .
Sounds to me more like a Phil Harmonic piece or perhaps a london Symphony piece or something-- I just dont know . What do you think ???????
