SMF Cyndi - 2010-03-12 2:09 PM

My friend Eoin,

How was the show? They still kick azz don't they? Hope ya had a great time! Open mindedness is part of maturing, some get it, some DON'T..umm..LIKE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rock on SMF!
Music, all genre's, is the ultimate universal communicator! Some know how to communicate constructively, others will never learn, sad! Glad you shared rockin' out!

They sell out every show, they sold out Westbury Music Fair every time.

Going to see Skynyrd tonight. Anyone seen them recently? How do they sound these days? I'm not a huge fan - in fact I only know 4 or 5 songs but looking forward to it big time. Bit of old time Southern Boogie

Great show Cyndi - thanks for asking. Nice mix of old and new with a really rocking Freebird.

The old Southern charm is amusing at times ("we got us a couple of yankees in the band these days") and slightly disturbing at times ("God and guns - that's what this country was founded on") but politics aside they really know how to do a good old rock and roll show.

I now only have 2 bands on my list that I have never seen and really want to see - Molly Hatchet and Cinderella

Hey E--
I know we met at the vegas show--are you across the pond or in the states? Cinderella is coming to Merriweather Post in Maryland (another daylong fest of a bazillion bands) but Scorpions headlining and Cinderella on the docket. I'm on the fence about getting a ticket, but if you want to go and need a place to stay, let me know. My roommate might be moved out by then so I'll have a spare bedroom. Then you can cross Cinderella off your bucket list.

Terry,
Thanks a million mate - that is probably the kindest offer I have ever come across.

Unfortunately, it wasn't me you met in Vegas - I haven't been there in over 20 years. I live across the pond in Ireland and I'm afraid that getting to Maryland would be too far beyond my means (and brownie points with the wife) at the moment. I am still trying to sort out getting to one or other of the festivals this Summer. Hellfest is looking dodgy but Bloodstock is still a possibility. Hopefully meet you there!

Ah! my apologies--pity about the distance--should be a good show..
Well, hell, my door's always open regardless if you ever get statewide and want to visit the nation's capital. (I'm a quick commuter train away)

I met so many slamboard folks in Vegas from England, Canada, Norway, Ireland, Scotland--it was hard to keep track of who was who!

Will you be checking out any of the TS shows in Europe? I'm making plans now to head over to the UK with the other SMFs. And this time, I'm DETERMINED to get a full slamboard photo op!

cheers

Yeah, I don't know why I'm so wishy washy--I love the scorps! I just hated sitting through almost everyone else that day. And the ticket price was a bit high.

Still on da fence.
