according to an interview that dee has done in classic rock,he says he has given in his notice and this is the last the uk will see of twisted sister.
also that he dosent want to end up like kiss.(fair point)

I know I surely will miss the boyz, but OMG, I am so thankful for the time we have had since the reunion. The memories this time around are so much more meaningful for me. I not only got a second chance at life, but a second chance to see my fav band of all time come into my life again, only this time done with such true grace, warmth and spirit I could have ever imagined. It has been a wonderful life-saving experience for me. I will ALWAYS love TS!

PS: I admire Ki$$ for the many years of Rockin' me too! I will always see them when the chance arises. They are great!

well I for one hope that they dont stop just not yet !! Kiss did play alot and did try to make sure that if it was truly over that at least most all fans had a chance to see them ...and yeah I know it was for the money!! Twisted needs to hit a few more places before they quit......I have traveled to Millwaukee and then to Tucson and would of made the North Carolina show...but money was an issue ...there are a lot of SMF's out there that dont have the luxury of going hundreds of miles for a show......but if this is what Dee wants to do then fine I will Not get mad at the GOD's decision.....but there is nothing and I mean nothing that will ever compare to a TWISTED show!!
I hope I get to see them again!!!!

Well, it was all a matter of time and everyone knows it was coming sooner rather than later. But what they've done the last 4+ years is unforgettable and as much as I'll miss going to their shows, I refuse to take for granted what they did for us. Their reconciliating allowed them to get back to do what they did and still do best. For themselves, to put their personal differences to rest and ultimately issue the grand stamp on TS and say goodbye they way it was meant to be. For us, a tremendous opportunity and golden memories.

I've had a ball getting meet so many of you guys and making new friends with poeple who would've been just alter ego screen names on a website. Seeing Twisted Sister & Bent Brother these past few years has been a definite highlight. A perfect way to start off the new millenium.

Dee, Jay Jay, Eddie, Mark & AJ. I salute you. Thanks for being Twisted.

Great post JaySIN...just great! I agree, HIGHLIGHT indeed seeing the boyz again and meeting all the SMF's to date. THE BEST! Hope to meet more and continue the circle of hardcore SMF friends.

For me to say that by June 29th 2006 I will have TS live 7 times is unbelieveable. I never in my wildest dreams thought it would happen.

Anyone who knows me knows Ki$$ are my fave band and I always thought they were the best live, having seen TS live now that has changed, Kiss are good, TS KILL!.
When Gene says Ki$$ do it for the fans you take it with a major dose of salt. When Jay Jay says it's for the fans you know he means it.

I would like to thank TS for everything they have given me, I hope I get to meet them personally on this tour and I wish them all the best for the future.

Some years ago, I had realized that I never going to see TS live. Then in early 2003, I saw on their webpage that they scould play Sweden Rock. I had the ticket to the festival some days later. Now I have seen them 4 times, Sweden, Astoria, Bang Your Head and Wembley. When this August is finnished, I have seen them 3 more times. Hammersmith, Nottingham and Oslo. I'm so greateful for that the band have take their time to do this for us.

I have been a TS fan over 20 years now. Back in the day I'd sneak into a bar (Detroit) in Portchester NY. My cousin knew the owner back then, so i was able to get in and see TS when they played there. I always knew they would hit it big one day. Fast forward to 1983...TS hits it big and I couldn't have been happier. I saw them during the Stay Hungry tour a few times in the tri-state area. Heck, I even saw them a few times during the COAP tour. The last time I saw them live was in 1986 at radio City Music Hall during COAP and I'll always remember Dee starting off the show by coming out of the manhole.

When the band split up in 1987 (last show was Minneapolis, MN) I was so depressed because I thought that was it, I'll never get to see my favorite band again. So over the years I grew up and TS kind of faded into memory for me. I'd still listen to their music to try to recapture my youth but it just wasn't the same.

Fast forward to 2001 when the band decided to reunite, I was living in Florida so I had no idea they were back together. I moved back to NY in 2003, and found out they were reunited, and boy was I the happiest person alive. I searched high and low for tickets to any show in 2004 and was able to see them in Poughkeepsie for the 1st time in 18 years. You can only imagine how that felt. I got to relive my youth all over again through TS. Since 2004, I've been very fortunate to see TS live about 6 or 7 times, including last weekend in Charlotte NC.

So when Dee says it's over, its probably very true. But one thing that I'll say is that I know that I will live in peace the rest of my life knowing I got to see my rock idols during my adult life, something I never thought I'd see. When its finally over, I'll always remember the inspiration TS gave me. I'll always remember livng by the bands music and lyrics.

When that day comes that TS is no more, all of us here will always be proud of them. We'll always remember them. And most of all, TS will live in our lives and hearts forever. We say it now and forever.......TS, thank you for all you've done for us, the fans!

Nice Story, beatifully put. When I discovered TS I thought they were still broken up, but when I was in the school library one day I decided to check out TS.com To my surprise there were tour dates. And a bigger surprise is that one was near me! I had to pay for the tickets myself, but NOTHING was going to stop me from seeing TS. To this day that is still the best night of my life.

As I grew up out in the sticks most of my musical inspiration came from my two big sisters, who thankfully are gorgeous glam rockers, but as I was born in 84 most of the bands i've grown up listening to were already split up, so i've just always known that i'd never get to see a band I really love, and until recent year have just had to make do with a lot of new metal, where sure you can jump about a bit although everyone just sings about how awful life is. So, as many others have said, when I found out TS were back together it was awesome, and luckily I got to see them three times last year, they were the best shows i've ever seen, with the amount of energy and love that comes from that stage, combined with the fact that the band don't whinge on about how they hate the world, I find it hard to put into words how happy I am that they re-grouped, it's enabled me to have a taste of decent live music - something that I fear I may not see that much more of in the future! I think that this band have always had their priorities right, when they do tour they seem to give 100% to the fans, but I understand and respect the fact that they all have lives and families outside of twisted sister so can't be expected to go on forever like that, whatever the guys decide, i'm sure it'l work out, just looking forward to the upcoming shows more than ever
We love you guys

Hi Fellow SMF"S,I had to reply to this post.Yes I too Am a kiss fans, since 1976.I don't care for what Gene&Paul had turned that band into.First off,it's only paul&gene are the only original members, those joke peter&ace imposters¬ to say what money whores they are. What other band has 3-different price ranges of box sets out their.I guess thats why i love Twisted Sister even more.I may have seen twisted twice in my life, they are a band for the people&by the people.Dee&company have more raw energy in their show, then Paul&Gene combine.I truly hate to see Twisted hang up the boots&The make-up,but look at kiss,55 years old in grease paint&customes are not to appealing to fans. They should called it quiets on their first farewell.I wish Dee,JJ,Eddie,Mark&Aj Much Success&A big thanks for everything they haven given us the fans, music wise,&insperation,&the means to beleive in yourself.I never met you guys before,But I feel I have know you all these years. Thanks for making such balls to the walls music!
