For those Twister Sister fans that truly enjoyed the 70s and 80s glam rock scene, you will be thrilled to learn that the rock band is about to have three albums re-released. Both the albums and the band were enjoyed by millions during the same era as Kiss and Alice Cooper.
Twister Sister has remained quiet over the years, but three of their top albums are being re-mastered and re-released. Club Daze Vol. 1 started a Twister Sister reissue in October 2010 with a CD+DVD set, ‘Live At Waken’. This box set features some of the band’s earliest recordings before signing onto Secret Records. After the sign-on, Twister Sister released their debut album, ‘Under The Blade’ in 1982. This box set is scheduled for release January 24.
Twister Sister’s second album ‘You Can’t Stop Rock ‘n’ Roll’ was their first with Atlantic Records. The album, which was originally released in 1983, has been remastered especially for the release, which includes 3 additional tracks, numbers 11 to 13 that were added in 1999. It was from this album where many Twister Sister fans found their favourite songs, including the top UK hit, ‘I Am (I’m Me).’ It remains the band’s only live set to this day and is also scheduled for release on January 24.
The band eventually moved on to record an album titled, ‘Come Out And Play’ with Armoury Records. This album was the follow-up to their mass hit ‘Stay Hungry’ album. It is also the hit album that features Alice Cooper, Brian Setzer and Billy Joel in songs such as ‘You Want What We Got’ and ‘Be Chrool To Your Scuel’. This remasterd hit is scheduled for release on January 21. |
