WOW - What a day!
Don't propose to steal Terry's thunder and will leave it to him to do his Road Report (I could never do it justice).

We got into Athens last night after catching a ferry from Corfu a 9 hour drive across Greece. Unfortunately the hirecar died - thankfully this didn't happen until after we parked the car at the front of the hotel! Had a quick wander round town before collapsing in bed.

This morning hit the Acropolis and did the tourist bit. Then headed to the venue via a stop for food, water(+++) and air conditioning (Athens is hot just now!!) Met up with Patrick there and at the venue before the show. On arriving at the venue also met Terry.

As I said Iwill leave the show report to Terry but suffice to say we got the whole family down the front - my son Chris got a barrier view! To say that he and the rest of the family enjoyed their first Twisted show is an understatement!

Following the show Danny had arranged for us all to meet the band and he outdid himself - the kids got signed drumheads from the show and are still completely stoked at 2.30am. HUGE shout out to Danny and the boys making such a memorable evening even better!!!
Can't wait for the next Twisted show (and Terry's full report from tonight). Gotta get some sleep now.

.Arty

This band always outdoes itself, they make you proud to be "dirtbag"

Yeah! The Athens gig was great... apart from some jackass in the front row... but whatever... we made it to front row! The band did shock me a bit though when they played "Whole lotta Rosie"... my first thought was that someone died. I should get off the morbid thoughts!

Anyway, it was great meeting you guys! And I enjoyed Greece. I will scan the concert poster soon and will upload it. Even though I was there myself, I'm looking forward to your road report, Terry! Hoping that my next gig in Moscow will work out!

ABSOLUTELY! All the boys took time to chat and the kids were particularly well looked after. "Proud" is a good word I am so made up that having persuaded the rest of the family to come to the (admittedly it didn't take a lot of persuading!), when they met the boyz they were so impressed by how friendly and caring of the fans they are. Not just the band though - Danny (especially) and the crew tend be the same.

I'm still sitting here not quite believing what a good day we had.

I was a bit surprised myself, but after chatting with Jay Jay, it seems that a lot of these places in Europe--especially those that aren't played often, clamor the most for cuts from COAP and Stay Hungry.

I was very surprised (and admittedly, disappointed) that I didn't get to hear I Am, I'm Me and more cuts from UTB.
