Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | Just a quick roll call.... who is coming to the Quebec show? I know that Gilles (BIGTSFAN) you'll be there for sure, given it's your backyard.... who else from the slamboard will be there? I'm getting into the road grove once more--which consists of me coming home, sleeping for a whole day, dumping my backpack into the wash then loading it right back into my bags for the next show. Looking forward to meeting the SMFs of Quebec! It will be a quick trip for me....into town Saturday afternoon....then back on the plane Sunday morning...sometimes I don't even know why I bother getting a hotel.... but I know that Quebec is gonna rock! Show us what you've got Quebec! I promise to do my best to not massacre the French language....

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | Believe me, I would absolutely LOVE to spend at least three or four days in Quebec, but I'm already in a tremendous amount of trouble at my job for taking off to go to Finland. (I won't bore you with the details, but I had a real mess to deal with when I got back. not pretty.) My Twisted travels cost me a reprimand at work. It will take me...door to door....about 7 hours total. about 45 minutes to get to the airport. by 600 am, then a 40-minute flight to Philadelphia. Then I have a 3 hour layover, and a 2-hour flight to Canada. Expect to arrive in Canada around 11:30 AM. Enough time to shower and grab lunch, a quick nap, and head right over to the show. I fly back Sunday just after 12 noon.

Full-On SMF Posts: 73 | I'm looking forward to the show. Flying from Toronto. Did the 10 hr drive the last time they were in Quebec, but this time I'm flying Sat morning with my wife and we are coming back Sunday night. Hopefully it will be a nice weekend as I love Quebec city in the summer!

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | Look forward to meeting you! I just booked my flight....couldn't get the hotel I wanted (all booked) so I'm gambling with a hotel I've never heard of but it looks decent enough.... we'll see.... it's just for one night. If I can tolerate The Penn in NYC, I can put up with anything for a night!

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | I will be staying at the Hotel Delta. Never heard of it but it looks decent. I usually only stay at brand name/chain hotels.... but a lot of the hotels I checked out were booked and I'm only staying for one night, which is part of the problem. If I was able to arrive a day earlier, I'd have better luck Edited by Armadillo 2011-08-10 10:17 PM

Extreme SMF Posts: 156 Location: Toronto, Canada | Delta is actually a name brand hotel chain, in Canada anyway. Now that I think about it, I guess they must be Canadian. I can't think that I have seen any in the US. Unfortunately I cannot make the Quebec show, much as I would have loved to....but I can be happy knowing that I saw a killer show in NY in April. S.M.F. I'm from Quebec and I'm gonna be there! I missed their 1984 show where they opened for Iron Maiden "Powerslave" tour. My mom wouldn't let me go, I was only 9 but my older sister was going. Anyway, long story short, I'm gonna be there on the 20th with my both my 5yo and 3yo sons. Twisted Sister is actually their favorite band. My 5yo kings on singing their songs and plays the best he can on his small drum kit. He can't wait to go to the show and me neither! Passing SMF genes into the next generation is a lot of fun! August 20th 2011 will be a date to remember!

We spoke for a moment after the NY show. What a show! Unfortunately, I was not able to make Quebec tonight. I am looking forward to seeing the set list.

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 446 | ok nice, don't know if you understood all i said because my english is bad... the setlist was nice i sent a tweet to dee snider, i asked him to play like a knife in the back, ride to live, live to ride, and the beast and he said i will play at least one song and it was like a knife in the back! it was awesome. the last song of the show was Under The Blade instead of SMF . so they played my request and don't play SMF. the crowd was very loud during i wanna rock. i could see in their face that they were amazed by the crowd.
