I thought the guitar players on the board might be interested in this new guitar

No relation to the equally maverick-ish Tesla Motors, however. But here at Geeky Gadgets we’ve always maintained that the world of music is long overdue serious innovation. Not to upset the purists out there, but such ubiquitous instruments as the electric guitar have hardly evolved design and engineering-wise since the 80s. It’s a good thing we just mentioned the 80s since that’s when Ulrich Teuffel started reinventing the wheel.

See, Herr Teuffel is a craftsman with a particularly rich imagination. After studying design for a bit he went about transforming the electric guitar as we know. To date, no words exist in the modern English vocabulary so describing his creations in the fullest sense is next to impossible. So dear Ulrich Teuffel, being a clever guy, named his guitars Tesla, Birdfish, Niwa, and Prodigy. What they all have in common is looking weird in general.
For music fans reading this, the yearly NAMM conference at Nashville ranks as the international music industry’s pinnacle event. Though catering mostly to the hard rock set, NAMM is an excellent promotional platform for manufacturers wishing to impact the art of many musicians. No surprise then that Ulrich Teuffel’s latest Tesla was showcased at this occasion (it’s pictured above.) The Tesla is the long anticipated space age of electric guitar design, headless, curvy, and futuristic. The reviews so far have proven it balances performance with sheer good looks.
Teuffel (a brand name in itself) displayed his other creations and boy, oh boy. They look like guitars from another planet. Brilliant stuff.
