First of all, Blood and Bullets and Stand by for Pain, were not solo albums, they were by the band Widowmaker.
Secondly, Desperado was also a band.
Thirdly, are you taking the piss, with those reviews!! Especially, Blood and Bullets, thats a kick ass album!!
You can't be much of a Dee fan, talking that kinda shit, my friend.

Dude

Got to agree with Lorndog....you cannot be serious with those numbers......

Here is my 2c worth....

The 1st Widowmaker is the best material Dee ever came up with. Should have been the next TS album. TS should redo it themselves ( play it really loud to see what I mean....) So...Blood and Bullets....5/5

Saying that...never got into the second CD.....2/5

Personally, I love his solo CD....its my review on Amazon. Go read it.....4/5

As for Desperado...more inovative than all his other material, more varied material, more intricate. Some of it cropped up on later CD's. Some great stuff on there if you give it a chance. Again, I put up a review on Amazon.....4/5.

All this is post TS. There is only one true solo CD. I take it you mean solo from TS? Still...I dont understand why you marked them down so badly? Emaheevul (opening track on Blood and Bullets) is so rockin' its almost frightening!! Desperado (from the "Bastards solo CD) is so TS its nuts. How can you not like 'em?? Whats not to like??

Puzzled.

Blood and Bullets 4

Stand by for Pain 2

Never Let the Bastards Wear You Down 1.5

Desperado 4.5

That said, I've wondered about Dee's song choices for the Bastards (the only real solo) record. I mean there were so many really good left over songs from Stay Hungry and Love is For Suckers sessions...

Blood and Bullets 4/5

Stand by for Pain 2/5

Never Let the Bastards Wear You Down 4.5/5

Desperado 4/5

Dee Does Broadway 3.5/5

It's tough for me to give a perfect 5 of 5 for many albums. You Can't Stop Rock and Roll is a 5 out of 5 for me and none of Dee's non-Twisted albums match up to that so I have to take that into account. Bastards is definitely my favorite Dee solo/side project album with Blood and Bullets a very strong 2nd. I'm honestly not a hug fan of Stand By For Pain. It's the heaviest album Dee's done in my opinion (which I like) but it lacks the hooks and melodies that Dee is such a master at. And nobody included Dee Does Broadway so I had to throw that one in here although that one's a little tough since I'm still digesting it. That score may change over time once I've really taken it in I'm digging it out of the gate.

Those bands were known as Dee's solo bands, and he wrote most of the material by himself. Blood and Bullets wasn't great, and I don't like the hair band choruses. It makes it sound like 80's music.

1)Emaheevu-Good

2)The Widowmaker-Good

3)Evil-Ok

4)The Lonely Ones-ok

5)Reason To Kill-Good

6)Snot Nose Kid-Bad

7)Blood And Bullets-Bad

8)Gone Bad-ok

9)Blue For You-Bad

10)You're A Heartbreaker-Bad

11)Calling For You-Good, but the Desperado version was better.

12)We Are The Dead-Bad

He wrote all of Twisted's albums, does that make the Sister Dee's solo band? I think not dude!
As for saying Snot Nosed Kid and Blood and Blood and Bullets are bad songs, you must be fucking deaf!

Twisted Sister wasn't formed by Dee, and Dee had total control over Widowmaker.

That's a weird thing to say if you're a Sister fan

Those choruses sounded like late 80's bands on the first Widowmaker cd.

geez....you guys left off the best Dee solo album ever.... Love Is For Suckers! (Wow. I said it.)

As a Dee solo album, I give it a 3/5 Wake Up the Sleeping Giant was worth the price alone. As a Twisted album, I must confess it is my least favorite effort. I do still play it--it is actually really good driving music-- I have been known to skip "hot love". Of course, for me, it's more about what the albums symbolize than the music itself-- LIFS was the end of TS in the 80's, and for many years, I couldn't play the album.

First of all, they're not Dee's solo albums... and if you're calling them like that, ''STAND BY FOR PAIN'' is the most progressive thing Dee did back then, together with the Inconclusion song from Strangeland soundtrack.

I like the second Widowmaker album more, AND i LOVE the Desperado record.

Dee's solo album from 2000, i adore that one

Oh and, i think i like Widowmaker, Desperado and Dee's solo album, more then LIFS. (i love LIFS too but those albums got stronger material)
