Drove to the Mad Mad Hatter in 1977 with 3 friends, parked, walked in to the club, club goes dark, music starts, lights go on, band starts...we get blown away, can't hear the rest of the weekend...the rest is very good history

When I was 10, my cousin played me We're Not Gonna Take It and I Wanna Rock, I was instantly hooked on their sound and look.

I was 11 in camp in the summer of 1984. I know I 1st heard WNGTI in my mom's car on the radio in May or June, but not until one of the other kids at camp played the album did I really inquire and explore them.

I first saw them on The Tube.It was a heavy metal xmas edition.iggy Pop had been on (heavy metal?) and in my opinion he was shit.Id watched the whole programme (was 15 years old) and was well disappointed. Then Twisted Sister came on (Motorhead was and still is MY band).I thought what the fuck are these.I hated the glam look.Scruffy denims for me!! Then they started playing (obviously helped my cause with Lemmy and Robbo joining them as well). And I never looked back.Aint seen them since they reformed(sorry about that) but im going Download to rectify that mistake.Saw them around 10 times back in the 80's.The first band that graced the back of my denim jacket (although replaced by Motorhead patch a couple of years later).Still one of the best live bands I have ever seen

Forgot to say -I then joined the SMF Friends of TS in 84.The first fan club I joined.I even won a TS tour jacket in a competition in The Sun newspaper. The winning prize was to be flown to see the band perform in New York and meet the band, all expenses paid.

i'm sure the band will love this. saw dee in the pee wee herman movie. loved the song and git my parents to buy me the BIG HITS AND NASTY CUTS cd around 1994. i was only 12 then so you can't blame me for not being able to buy it myself lol. the song "i am, i'm me" had a very positive and profound influence on me through my teen years so i thank the band for that

Pretty interesting stuff here.
Me I stumbled on this band at some club way down in Yonkers NY , I think it was called Rising Sun or Sun rise bar or something like that, which was really weird because this wasnt a place I normally hung out and not that close to where I lived either , of course I was addicted immediately , mid to late seventies. Back in those days they had books you could sign in at the bars, man Id love to see those. I remember after seeing TS my thought was , Now were talking ! What a great band!
