Nearly A Band Member Posts: 513 Location: New Fuckin Yawk | I was reading all the posts on the WI show and saw some people post how they thought the WI show was right up there with other memorable TS shows. So I was wondering what you all thought was the favorite live TS show you've ever been to. It could be from 1980 or it could be from 2006. Basically think about the one show that really sticks out in your mind as the best you've ever seen and post it here.

Extreme SMF Posts: 155 Location: SCOTLAND | Has to be the first time I saw the band; The Astoria, London 2004!! Flew down from the north of Scotland the morning of the show; horrible flight and checked into crummy hotel! Could'nt really afford the trip at the time, but once the house lights dimmed and the boys launched into, "What you don't know", I complely lost my mind!!!! TS were on fire and rocked the place to it's core!! Put simply, they fucking KILLED!! Left the gig with the hugest grin on my face, which remained there for weeks!! I never thought I'd get the chance to see TS live, but doing so blew all my expectations; you think they're gonna be the best; turns out they're even better!!! Saw them again in Glasgow in 05 with Alice and last month; both times were amazing!! Hope I get to see them again, but if not, I'll always have the great memories from all 3 shows!! TWISTED SISTER, THE GREATEST LIVE BAND EVER, NO CONTEST. PERIOD. AND THATS FINAL!! LORNDOG SSMF. [Scottish Sick Mutha Fucker!]

Extreme SMF Posts: 168 Location: Chicago | That's simple... hands down it was the Waukesha show!!!!! I've seen just three shows, In Minneapolis on the Come Out and Play tour, it was amazing! In Chicago in '03 at the House of Blues, again, just incredible! However, the show in WI just cannot be topped PERIOD! Too many memorable moments to ever forget! That show was in a word, UNFORGETABLE! I was honored to be in the company of some first class SMFs, like yourself Mitch! I truly hope I can meet up with all of you again in Dec. at the PA show.

Full-On SMF Posts: 88 Location: Under the Blade | NY STEEL !! The moment the lights went down & It's a long way to the top started it was like I was transported through time back to the Soap Factory in NJ back in the EARLY 80's ! I've seen it said the same way many times.......It was like I was with old friends again & they were exactly the same ! Dee & Jay trading wise cracks and interacting with the SMF's . I couldn't believe the feelings that came back immediatly. When they did 'You Know I Cry' many did just that. Only TS could use the line they did that night... "It took a national tragedy to get TS back together." There is/was nothing good about 9-11 but TS realized that only those 5 guys could re-unite and that was the right time to do it...Right for the fans , right for the boyz , right for those who lost loved ones.... It was confirmation that what we experienced was as great as we remembered it. TS was THE band back in the day...THE GREATEST LIVE BAND EVER !!!!!!!

Full-On SMF Posts: 88 Location: Under the Blade | Sorry Bro !! Everything worked out for us (me & Jimmy) that night. Bought tickets outside for $50 each . Got inside & couldn't get down on the floor at first . Had to bribe a security guy . The thorn in my side is I didn't buy a T-shirt. Those are nice shirts. You Know I Cry is my favorite and they played it like they knew I wanted to here it. We even enjoyed Ace NY Groove !! That was the first time I had been to NY since 9-11 happened & I got the feeling that everyone in the building would have given anything to help recover . Everything happens for a reason & NY STEEL happened to bring TS & their SMF's back together. I've savored everything that I have been luckey to catch during this reunion , including my friendships with the members of this board , who just can't seem to grow up ! lol

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 632 Location: Over the Rainbow. | Likewise my friend. I was listening to the updates on the radio while constructing our 2nd disaster recovery site at 2 Wall. So I was kinda there. Glad you got to go and heard your favorite song ;-) cause the whole board knows I FRIGGIN HEARD MINE! LOL Have you checked E-bay for that shirt? Haven't been lurking there for a while but could have sworn I've seen it there on and off. I'll keep my eyes open. You going to try and make the Dec 9th show. Thats your lucky number.

Full-On SMF Posts: 88 Location: Under the Blade | Dec. 9th is a possiblity ! My number while playing hockey in college was #9 and there was always a TS on the front of my helmet so my opponents knew they were playing against an SMF !!

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 632 Location: Over the Rainbow. | Thats how you got that number. I thought maybe your parents ran the white album AND IT SKIPPED! lol Hope you can make it should be a great time as usual. Just keep an eye out cause right now the closest avail is four tables back center stage. And I know you don't wanna get stuck somewhere in the back.

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 717 Location: Chicago | Let me start by saying that I've never seen a bad show but most memorable would have to be my first for sure. It was in Bangor, ME in '84. I was sky high for weeks after that show! I don't think I slept for 3-4 days because the adreneline was still pumping! Got there like 6 hours before show time just so I was sure to be front and center!! To this day, I've never left a show with the high that I had walking away from that one! Although I would have to say that the Waukesha show would be a close second at #2.
